Two supporters of the opposition National Democratic congress, NDC are allegedly in critical condition while 6 others are injured at the ongoing by-election at Ayawaso-West Wuogon constituency.
This was revealed by the national chairman of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo when addressing the media in Accra on Thursday 31st January, 2019.
According to Chairman Ofosu Ampofo, the invisible forces in the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP and other people who were armed besieged the grounds and released gunshots on the party faithfuls which has left 6 injured and are receiving treatments at the Legon Hospital while 2 are in critical condition and are referred to the 37 Military hospital.
However, the party cannot guarantee the safety of the NDC supporters and therefore called on all NDC electorate to boycott the election.
There is an on-going by-election at Ayawaso West Wuogon
for a new Member of Parliament (MP), due to the demise of the late Member of Parliament (MP), Kyeremateng Agyarko for the area today, Thursday 31st January, 2019.
