Six (6) people are reportedly dead while 15 others sustain injuries in a gory car accident at Bunso junction ( Nsutam Rounabout) involving a white Spinter bus with registration number GX 3787-13 carrying 23 passengners and a tripper truck fully loaded with sand, also with the registration number GT 6246-11 this morning October 23 2018, around 11:30am.
The 15 reportedly injured are now receiving treatment at Hawa Memorial Hospital in Osiem also in the Eastern Region.
Reporters from Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ, reported that the Tipper Truck carrying sand lost control and could not apply the break while the Sprinter bus was about negotiating into the middle of the road and was hit by this truck on top speed and that eventually killed six instantly leaving 15 others in critical conditions.
Information available to us also indicate that though there were timely intervention from the Road safety commission, MTTD and Fire Service but there were little they could do.
