A disgruntled Menzgold customer has bemoaned on the action taken by the regulatory agency to collapse Menzgold company for rendering its customers hopeless and useless since there is no avenue for them to retrieve their investments in the once reputable business establishment.
In a phone interview with Arnold Tamakloe, a customer who joined the numerous customers to stage massive demonstration in Kumasi yesterday, has said the government and president has the power to handle the case by arresting the managers of the Menzgold, do thorough investigation and help retrieve their money.
When the host of Susubiribi Morning Show, Captain Kofi Owusu, asked him the reason behind his involvement in the demonstration against the government when Menzgold isn’t a state company, he said, “the president has state institutions that could have taken prompt and proactive measures at the command of the president of Ghana but if none of that went on, there is no way they can stay in their homes and suffer”, he said. Menzgold has over the months been in the news after they were asked to stop working since it was accused of transacting business illegally. The customers have however, been denied of their investments and therefore have to resort to demonstrations since all avenues they have employed never yielded any good results.
