Chieftancy: Okyenhene Shows Appreciation To Otumfuor

The paramount Chief of Akyem Abuakwah Traditional Area, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, Okyenhene on Wednesday 9th January, 2019 paid a visit to Otumfuo Osei Tutu at Manhyia palace in the Ashanti region to express his profound appreciation for honoring his invitation by being present at Kyebi on a historic visit on 23rd August, 2018 to mark the 75th Anniversary of Amantiremamienu, Nana Sir Ofori Atta I

This historic visit which seems to becoming regular and normal did not see the renowned Chief pay the visit alone but went with entourage from among the subchiefs in the Akyem Abuakwah Traditional Area. Oseawuo-Wenchi Hene, Osino Hene, Tafo hene and the Okyenhene’s Chief of Staff, Nana Twumasi Ankra were among the dignitaries and opinion leaders in Akyem Abuakwa that accompanied Okyenhene.

The visit is also to promise Otumfuo Osei Tutu that Okyenhene will also honor his invitation and be present to grace Otumfuo’s 20th Anniversary when the time is due should there be an invite.

As custom demands, one does not enter the palace empty handed, Okyenhene and the Chiefs presented Schnapps and other packs as gifts from Okyeman to Asanteman.

However, they all tasked their subjects to be tolerant to each other since we are all one people.

It appears these two renowned leaders are preaching peace, love and tolerance among other tribes which has not been witnessed over the past.
