Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku To Be Appointed Ghana Gas CEO

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, the thebftonline.com has gathered will be heading to the Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) to head the place as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This means he will be taking over from the current CEO of the company, Dr. George Sipa-Adjah Yankey.

His appointment if confirmed, comes at a time that, information filtering in also suggest that Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong will be taking over from Mr. Alex Mould as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation(GNPC).

Though it is not clear who will be heading to the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) which is currently headed by Mr Kingsley Kwame Awuah, who is credited with having turned around the fortunes of both BOST and TOR.

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku was the Former NEPAD and Regional Integration Minister in the erstwhile President Kufuor’s administration from 2003 to 2006

The former Minister of Regional Co-operation and NEPAD, also between 2001 and 2013 served as the Minister of Trade and Industry under former president Kufour.

He served as a Member of Parliament for Offinso North Constituency and was among the 17 aspirants who in 2007 contested the for the only slot the New Patriotic Party had for the flagbearership of the party, going into the 2008 elections.

Kofi Konadu Apraku was born on September 7, 1954 at Akumadan in the Ashanti Region.
He had his secondary education at the Tweneboa Kodua Secondary School between 1967 and 1972 and proceeded to South Albany High School in Oregon, U.S.A. after winning an AFS International essay competition after which he pursed a four-year course at the Oregon State University.

He obtained a Masters of Science at the same university, and completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the Ohio State University, specialising in Economic Development.
