The newly enstooled chief of Akyem Nyanoa in the Upper West Municipality of the Eastern Region, Baffour Okyere Idan IV, has appealed to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and the Member of Parliament (MP) of the same area to add their voices to ensure that the Government reconstructs the deplorable state of the road leading to his community even as he tasked the same government to help fix the only dilapidated basic school in the community in addition to supplying fertilizers to the able farmers in the community.
He made this known to the whole community at durbar to outdoor him which was fully attended and graced by opinion leaders in the community, chiefs and its environs including representatives from government.
According to Baffour Okyere Idan IV, the predominant occupation in the community is farming and farmers in the community are complaining bitterly with regards to fertilizer supply.
“I am channeling through the MCE and MP to help for some of the fertilizers to reach the youth and farmers in Nyanoa so that they will be able to harvest in large farm produce”.
He also noted that though there is a community day school in the community but if much attention is not given to the basic level, it will be difficult for them to get pupils to the community day school so he is therefore appealing to the DCE and MP to also have a keen interest in the basic level in the community.
Baffour Okyere Idan IV said, a time will come that the community school at Nyanoa would be useless if care is not taken since the school would soon be extinct if it is remained as so.
