GHC 400,000 Filing Fee Is Even Small – E/R NDC Secretary

The Eastern Regional Secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Mark Oliver Kevor has jumped to justify the whooping GHC 400,000 filing fee for the flagbearership aspirants and claims it’s even a meagre for a Political Party of the NDC status.

According to him he even anticipated GHC 1,000,000 in that the GHC 400,000 is small a money to convene their Congress.

He revealed this on the Susubiribi Morning Show on Radio 1FM, 100.7MHZ on Friday 30th November 2018 when the host Captain Kofi Wusu asked of his perception on the filing fee.

He disclosed that the NDC is a very big party, highly recognized globally and it is incumbent on the party to put structures in place to benefit the party in the upcoming general election. Mr Oliver Kevor explained that since they have widened their electoral college, they will need huge sums of money to convene the congress and if they are able to realize such monies, further burdens would be relieved from the aspirants. So the General Secretary said it is even in the interest of the aspirants.

Arguing his points in the studio, he said after the congress this same money would be used to hold campaigns in the various regions, constituencies and branches to solicit for votes.

Inasmuch as he was vehemently opposed by his political opponent, he maintained his stance and urged the general public not to by in to the fabrications of the opponents since the party is in the right direction. Other than that those with money on the D-day will influence the electorate with their money, especially in transporting them to the election venues.

He ended by saying Democracy is Expensive and that all need to adhere to the current directives from the party.
