I Don’t See Anas In Circulated Photos – Kweku Baako

The mentor of Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Mr Kweku Baako Jnr has said he cannot see Anas in any of the photographs published by Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central Member of Parliament.

Mr Agyapong is on a crusade threatening to expose and unmask Anas and has gone ahead to publish some photographs he claims to be that of Anas and some of his team members from Tiger Eye PI.

He released some of the photographs on social media on Tuesday night and caused others to be televised on his Net2 station Wednesday morning whilst he appeared on the programme, “The Dialogue with Kennedy Agyapong,” where he repeated his allegations of corruption and blackmail against Anas.

Mr Agyapong insisted he was on the campaign to unmask and expose Anas because his modus operandi of using traps to film and expose people were wrong.

He alleged Anas has acquired properties across Ghana from proceeds he procured through blackmail.

Mr Agyapong on Tuesday night challenged the host of the Boiling Point programme on Oman FM, Kwabena Kwakye and a panel member Godwin Asare Bediako and accused them of trying to prevent him [Agyapong] from going ahead with his campaign against Anas.

He accused them of heckling Kwame Baffoe “Abronye” and prevented him from allowing his thoughts to flow whilst he also criticised Anas on the Boiling Point programme.

Mr Agyapong argued since the duo were journalists, they did not want ‘Abronye’ and he [Kennedy] to expose Anas.

Reacting to the development on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo programme Wednesday morning however, Mr Kweku Baako said “Anas will not be distracted,” by those allegations insisting it was not true.

Rather he insisted the ace journalist will try to focus and continue with his work.

Asked if Anas will consider the option of suing Agyapong for branding him a corrupt person who uses blackmail to make riches, Mr Baako said: “I wouldn’t advise Anas to sue.”

“He should just keep his focus, [and] do his work.”

Mr Baako on numerous occasions has reiterated that there was no issues with Anas’ modus operandi which was aimed at naming and shaming and said that has won him journalist of the year in Ghana on two occasions, 2006 and 2015.

He cautioned: “the NPP people out there who are attacking me and attacking Anas, they are entitled to that, but they should not under estimate me or Anas or the two of us put together, they should not underate that in terms of capability tp defend ourselves and to challenge anybody who says he is a blow man, a tarzan, we are ready and capable to withstand the pressure.”
