KNUST Students Erred – Educationist

A renowned Educationist in Ghana, Mr Daniel Oppong believes the KNUST Students Erred in their decision to embark on demonstration yesterday, October 22, 2018 which led to the destruction of a whole lot of properties some being personal properties of individuals and others belonging to the state.

Mr Daniel Oppong said to the host of Susubiribi Morning Show, Captain Kofi Owusu on Tuesday October 23, 2018 that the students did not exhaust all the plausible ways of having their concerns addressed than jumping to the option of demonstration which caused mayhem all over the country yesterday.

According to Mr Oppong, the leaders could have put their grievances into writing after the alleged brutality of the students.

Yesterday, October 22, 2018 can never be wiped from the history of Ghana let alone the history of KNUST and the student Executives of the 2018/19 academic year.

What was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration turned out to be worse and Parents are shivering, students are devastated and the whole nation is in ransom.

These have led to indefinite closure of the school effective today, 23rd October 2018. The ministry of education is heard being on the campus today to have a discourse between the student leaders and administrative board to amicably sort things out.
