The Chief of Akyem Nyanoa in the Upper West Municipality of the Eastern Region, Baffour Okyere Idan IV, has asked the youth in the community to put away any individual differences and get united as one to help bring development to the community.
He said this at a durbar organized to outdoor him and called for his people to support him develop Nyanoa community.
Baffour Okyere Idan IV made it known to the youth gathered that without unity, it will be very difficult for any developmental projects to be implemented in the community and also since their community shares border with the Central Region, it will be very important for them to join the fight to help develop the community so that investors, tourists and other business institutions can be attracted to their community.
He added that this will also enable visitors that come to their community to carry out good messages about them to other parts of the country and therefore appealed to the youth and everyone gathered at the durbar to let go any acts committed against each other this day.
That notwithstanding, he openly pledged his commitment to serving Akyem Abuakwa whole heartedly since they are all part of the Akyem community.
“Nyanoa is part of Akyem Abuakwa and not Central Region therefore any activity that goes on in Akyem will also be marked in Nyanoa community so that any native that comes from here can also boast that he or she also comes from Okyeman and not Central region”, he noted.
His coronation was very well attended by the rank and file of chiefs and other opinion leaders in and around the Nyanoa community.
