James Agyenim Boateng, the campaign coordinator for the former president John Dramani Mahama has confirmed that the former president upon his visit to the eastern region will tour all the 33 constituencies in the region to submit himself for scrutiny and give them some words of hope.
According to him, ex-president Mahama who has the ambition of becoming the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC in this month hold internal polls and would visit these constituencies, speak with the constituents and know their problems.
In a phone interview on the Susubiribi Morning Show on Radio 1FM, on Thursday 10th January, 2019, James Agyenim Boateng told the host, Captain Kofi Owusu that Ghanaians are suffering and ex president Mahama would use that avenue to interrogate the party faithfuls to know how to redeem the image of the Nation when given the mandate to become the flagbearer of the party and eventually winning the 2020 elections.
However, he revealed that if a party sponsors a group to conduct a survey what would be the expected outcome? He quizzed. With that he was not surprised of the outcome of the polls but was very confident former president Mahama will come to turn things around for the betterment of the country.
The opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC have about 2 weeks to elect their flagbearer for the 2020 general elections.
