Maritime Boss Deserves Praise than Crucify Him – Communication Director

The Communication Director of Atiwa West Constituency for the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, Super Yaw Ofori has sent well done praise to the Chairman of Maritime Authority, Hon. Kwame Owusu as to the good works he has done so far in the improvement in the Maritime Sector compared to then maritime in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama’s administration.

Super as popularly known made this revelation on Radio1fm 100.7HMZ on the Susubiribi Morning Show on Monday 5th November 2018 as he was asked, his opinion on the issue of the embezzlement of state fund by the Honorable.

Super said the Honorable member should be appreciated for the good work he has done in the transport sector (Maritime) because every hard work deserves appreciation.

However, Super added that even though Hon. Kwame Owusu is working as expected of him which is a good thing but he does not support him on how he is working on his personal interest and using state fund if really what he is accused of is true.

He believes that His Excellency the president, Nana Akufo-Addo is investigating the allegation to substantiate the embezzlement speculations as they claim especially those in minority, before any action would be taken to ensure transparency, equity, Prbity and accountability.

He said he has heard people calling for his sack and therefore urges them to exercise patient for investigation to take place first.

On 0ctober 25, 2018, news broke on the Maritime authority boss spending GHC1.3 billion in one night on food bought from his own hotel for an end of year party.

Documents on the said event which hosted seven people according to reports amidst wastage of public funds and conflict of interest, were met with impunity as social media users went crazy over misuse of public funds for such an insignificant event.
