The Campaign Team Of Hon. Abass Fuseini Sbaabe, former District Chief Executive , DCE under the erstwhile NDC’s John Mahama administration and an aspirant for the National Zongo Caucus Coordinator in the upcoming NDC congress, is entreating Ghanaians especially NDC faithfuls to treat the speculations that their Candidate has withdrawn from the race barely 2 weeks to the election as palpable hoax and an attempt to downplay on the intelligence of the party members.
The communique releases from the Sbaabe team sighted by Radio 1 News indicate he has not withdrawned from the race nor intended to make any approach of withdrawal
Below is the full statements released from the camp of Alhaji Sbaabe.
There is a piece of news doing the rounds on social media and suggesting that Hon. Abass Fuseini Sbaabe intends to withdraw from the race for the position of National Zongo Caucus Coordinator. We entreat the general public, especially the NDC fraternity, to ignore this piece of news.
Our candidate and his team have done a lot of work, soliciting for the votes of the delegates and preparing the grounds for a massive victory, come 17th Nov. 2018, In shaa Allah.
For those who think their candidates can make some meaningful impact in the race only when Hon. Abass is out of the race, may we use this opportunity to alert them that the race is not yet over because he intends to run it till it is completely over. If they are threatened by the imposing political image of our candidate, they are welcome to throw in the towel.
Our candidate is the best among the lot, with very rich academic and political experiences to carry the fight to the NPP in the Zongos and to restore our enviable political records in these communities.
We urge those circulating this piece of news to focus on marketing their unmarketable candidates, rather than seeking refuge under false messages of withdrawal from the race by our candidate, the only grassroots person in the race.
