No More Strike: Concerned Nurses And Midwives

The Concerned Nurses and Midwives Association in Ghana, per information available to Radio 1 news, can authoritatively say they have suspended their intended Solidarity Strike in support  of their unemployed colleague Nurses and Midwives who have gone through series of demonstrations and Picketing in demand of their financial clearance.

 

According to the group, they are notified that government has released financial clearance for 14, 254 Nurse Assistance Preventive and Nurse Assistance Clinical.

Documents available to Radio1news indicate that 2016 and 2017 bonded Nurses were excluded from the clearance.

Those who benefit are cleared and are due for recruitment. These are the Nurse Assistance Preventive and Nurse Assistance Clinical who in the 2016 and 2017 year groups.

The group believes there is progress, however, they await patiently but appeal to the government to hasten in their processes to the bonded Nurses to also receive their Financial Clearance.

 

It is therefore by this notice appeal to all Nurses and Midwives to humbly rescind from their early decision to go on strike until further notice.
