Notorious Kotoko fan Seidu threatens to have C.K Akunnor sacked

A staunch Asante Kotoko fan by the name Seidu has threatened to have coach C.K Akunor sacked from the club if the team fails to qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup group stage.

Seidu, who is known for masterminding the sacking of former coaches Zdravko Lugarisic and David Duncan, stated that fans of the club are unhappy with Akunnor’s style of play and won’t hesitate to get him sacked.

According to reports in Kumasi on Wednesday, the team had to train under the protection of Police because of threats by the known notorious fan.

“We love kotoko and Kotoko has many fans across the world so we can’t allow anyone to destroy it,” he told Happy FM.

“CK Akunnor is lucky we won that game in Kumasi else what would have happened won’t be nice. Nobody understands CK Akunnor’s tactics. Always playing one upfront,” he added.

“CK Akunnor came to met good players. The players he brought can’t play any good football.” Seidu is believed to be influenced by some leaders of the club but he vehemently denied such reports stating he is a “man of his own”.

“No big man is behind or pushing me. I’ve a mind of my own and I can think for myself,” he stated.

“Yesterday I held a meeting with some yesterday and we will continue today .I didn’t sign any bond at any police station.”

“CK Akunnor should go and score 5 or 6 and come then we’ll have a meeting with him. If CK Akunnor is going then all the new management members should go with him. What have I done for police to arrest me ? I did nothing wrong.”
