President John Dramani Mahama has been showered with praises and commendations by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as part of his Ashanti Regional campaign tour when he paid a courtesy call on him (Otumfuo) at the Manhyia Palace. His Royal Majesty said the president and the NDC government has brought massive developmental projects into the region and urged him (the president) to continue to preach about his good works to the people.
The Kumasi Military hospital, the Shoe Factory, Bekwai hospital, Kumawu water project, Community Day Senior High Schools, the magnificent Kumasi Central Market project are some of the numerous achievements of H.E. John Mahama in the region.
‘I was with Otumfuo yesterday to pay my respects to him on a courtesy call visit and he received us very warmly and he actually said that we had done a lot of work in Ashanti Region but then we should learn to tell our story to the people’ the president said in an interview on GBC Garden City Radio in Kumasi today.
He was confident that the ‘Operation 1.5 million Votes’ and winning 13 parliamentary seats will see the light of day and described his tour in the region so far as interesting.
