Fellow Comrades , the Press, Ladies and Gentlemen (all other protocols observed) .Today the 21 st Day of September 2018 marks 109th birthday of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the Founder and the First President of the Republic.
We celebrate the uncomparable African once Again.
Before he and his government was overthrown in the infamous 1966 Coup, there were 1089 State and Cooperative Farms, established to produce crops like Rice, Corn,Groundnut, Millet, Sorghum, Cashews etc. The CPP Eastern Regional Branch asks Where from the Economic Hardship of Today ? Cedi Depreciation at 19%? Unemployment? High Import Duties? Reckless Borrowing? Corruption everywhere? Banks collapsing anyhow? Lack of Motorable Roads, Hospitals fitted with Beds and Ambulances ,Classrooms and Chronic Poverty across the country. All because our State Farms have been abandoned, sold, and destroyed by successive regime after the Nkrumah Administration.
Revisit the state farm initiative by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the CPP, to solve Ghana’s broken economy under Current Government. State farms will create the Jobs, whip up the traditional interest in Agriculture and Production of Food to Increase Export and Decrease Imports especially Foods and related items ,hence will save the Cedi from breaking jail .
Dr Kwame Nkrumah said ‘Countrymen, the task ahead is great indeed and heavy is the responsibility; and yet it is a noble and glorious challenge – a challenge which call for the courage to dream, the courage to believe, the courage to dare, the courage to do, the courage to envision, the courage to fight, the courage to work, the courage to achieve – to achieve the highest excellencies and the fullest greatness of man. Dare we ask for more in life?
Today, We ask the Akuffo-Addo led Administration, as campaigned on in the 2016 Elections;
Where is the One Constituency One Million Dollars ?
The Phantom Planting for Food and Jobs ?
One Village, One Dam?
One District One Factory ?
Vibrant and a Booming Economy (in 18 Months)?
The only way forward is REVISITING THE STATE FARM POLICY BY DR KWAME NKRUMAH AND THE CPP.
