We Are Not Asking Government To Pay Us – Menzgold Customer

Individuals who invested in the the collapsed Menzgold Company and went on massive demonstration on Tuesday 8th January, 2019, have claimed they are protesting to government not in demand of their money from government but put presure on government to force the managers of Menzgold pay them their money.

In a phone interview on the Susubiribi morning show on Radio 1FM on Wednesday the 9th of January, 2019 with one of the aggrieved customers, Amankwaa Baffour told the host Captain Kofi Owusu that the public should disregard the speculation that they demand their moneys from the tax payers money from the government and treat it as hoax.

“We are not asking government and Akufo-Addo to pay us with the tax payers money but appealing to government to task the state agencies responsible for ensuring the regulations of the banking institutions in Ghana so as to help us retrieve their money”, he reiterated.

Amankwah appealed to all concerned entities to come to their aid since they have committed a lot into the company. According to him, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has the power to task these concerned entities to work hard in getting back their money. The aggrieved customers staged a massive demonstration in demand of their money on Tuesday 8th January 2019 in Kumasi.
