An NDC( National Democratic Congress) Youth Group has resurrected in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The group identified as “Concerned youth of NDC for Ofosu Ampofo must be a national Chairman” is said to have one vision and one mission.
The mission of the group is to help Mr Ofosu Ampofo, the Current 1st Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, to scoop the National Chairmanship seat in the upcoming national elections of the NDC.
And the vision is to recapture power in election 2020 with Mr Ofosu Ampofo as the national Chairman of their beloved party; NDC.
The said group had meeting yesterday to discuss the way forward and sources within the group have made it available to Radio1News that, the group had pledged to go all out, with all they have, in all the ways they can, as long as ever it will take them, to help Mr Ofosu Ampofo to win the NDC chairmanship race even though Mr Ofosu Ampofo is not aware such group exists.
Excerpts of the meeting minutes available to Radio 1 News reveal that the Group, upon critically analysing the potentials of such position, left them with no other decision than to root for Mr Ofosu Ampofo to become the next national Chairman of the NDC. The group claims assessing the Chairman hopeful, they found out he possesses the best qualities for being the national Chairman. The qualities cited by Radio 1 News include;
He is accommodating, very intelligent, Experienced, hardworking, loyal, grassroot man and above all; very proactive.
It is based on these and other exceptional qualities that the group vouch for Mr Ofosu Ampofo.
Upon our personal investigations, we got in touch with the leader of the group, one Amadu Wahab on 0244765321 and he confirmed the group and their intentions but made us aware that the group will seize to exist after Mr Ofosu Ampofo is elected as the National Chairman of the NDC.
NDC will be going to the polls before the end of the year to elect National Executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next 4 years before the flagbearers election slated for December 7, 2018.
