With regards to the ongoing demonstration at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST,  Students are devastated, stranded and asking the authorities of the school and the entire nation if being a student is a crime.

Students are pictured with placards with the inscription, Is it a crime to be a student while others are found sitting on the floor with dressings not deserving students quo.

Sources available to Radio1 news indicate that the demonstration came as a result of the students feeling insecure after 11 students were brutalized on the Friday. This created a lot of mayhem within the students on campus and thereby organised themselves to hit the school’s streets to register their displeasure to the administrative body on Monday October 22, 2018 to ask if they are criminals to be treated in that way?

The demonstration was led by the SRC president, Mr Kelvin Sah and the unexpected happened. Even as they held Placards to do their grievances, others took the law into their hands to destroy some properties among which include the Dean of Students Vehicle, offices of the Dean and that of the Campus Securities residents.
