Ghana coach Avram Grant has been strongly linked with the coaching job at German side 1860 Munich.
According to Bild, the former Chelsea manager is among two managers who are being considered for the top job.
However, the Israeli must fend off competition from former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matheo.
Grant was recently overlooked for the USA job after he was named among the shortlist.
The Polish-Israeli has come under mounting pressure in Ghana where he has supervised the Black Stars unflattering campaign in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
