The apex court of Ghana today ordered the electoral commission to reinstate the progressive people’s party’s presidential candidate Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom. This comes after the high court ruled in favour Dr. Nduom which the commission went to the Supreme Court to seek clarification.
The seven member pannel chaired by Justice Sophia Adinyira (JSC), ruled that the PPP’s presidential candidate be given the opportunity to correct errors on his norminations forms. It also asked the commission to extend the deadline to Tuesday, 8th November 2016, to allow all other presidential aspirants who are in legal battle with the EC to also correct errors on their forms.
