The chief of Osino, Osabarima Otu Darko IV in the Fanteakwa south constituency in the Eastern Region has made a fervent appeal to the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo to create a new district for the area if he wins the 2016 General Elections. He said the area is developing rapidly and needed to be carved out of the Fanteakwa district.
He also stated that the geographical location of Osino and its adjoining towns like Saaman, Abompe, Dwenase, Heman, Nsuapemso, Nsutam find it difficult to access the district capital located at Begoro.
He reiterated that Fanteakwa south is crawling behind in terms of development and giving them a district status would be the only surest way to correct that menace.
The chief also appealed to Nana Addo to quickly implement the ‘one district, one factory’ policy because it will help them undertake a fish farming project earmarked on vast land at Nsutam.
