Legendary Ghanaian musician, Kojo Antwi has rubbished reports on social media that he had died in a car accident.

According to the celebrated highlife musician, he does not know why some faceless people will decide to circulate such a hoax on their media platforms just to direct traffic to their sites.

“I don’t know why someone would fabricate such a story. I have family and people who love me. I have fans. This is not the first time. I get sick alright and we are all deemed to die but this is not a joke and I am not even in Germany. I am alive….

“This is not the first time it has occurred. People call me and they don’t say anything, when I say hello they just end the call. Some become happy to hear my voice..,” he said.

According to the story that circulated on social media, the music maestro was rushed to hospital in Germany over the weekend in a critical condition but died on arrival.

“He died in about 5 minutes just during when the doctors were conducting an intensive medical care to control the situation, Dr. C. Hans Brew confirmed,” the report read.

Kojo Antwi further stated that the he intends to track down whoever circulated such fake news so he can take them on in the court of law.

“If I am to find who did that I will take them on lawfully. I have composed music from all over the world. Use social media positively. There must be a balance. I have not slept since it started and I have been tempted to pick up all phone calls. I am not dead. How would you do that?

The ‘Mr Music man’ further expressed happiness at the peaceful election held recently.

He further urged Ghanaians to know when to decrease partisan politics and be patriotic alongside.

“I think Ghanaians are happy and other countries are proud of us…I think we have to be happy we have gone through the elections. I would rather everyone who buys an NPP flag to buy a Ghana flag too to signify not just NPP won but Ghana too.

“We have to love our country and know when to put partisanship aside. Ghana must always come first.” he said.
