Intellectual Forum (IF) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region is optimistic the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will deliver on his campaign promises.

According to the Tamale-based pro-NPP group, Nana Addo has a  clear vision and ability to get jobs done against the most formidable opposition as showcased in the heat of the 2016 campaigns.

In a release issued and signed by Interim Chairman Iddrisu Aloma, he indicated that the country in the last four years has witnessed the worst performance and therefore affected various businesses.

To this end, he observed that the cost of living has become high which is why Ghanaians trumpeted for change and had the NPP voted for at the polls.

“By your electoral victory, it is evident that Ghanaians have reposed much confidence in you and will require that you deliver them from their current unpleasant economic situation in the country.

It is an open secret that life over the last four years has increasingly become unbearable for the ordinary Ghanaian, who is unable to secure three square meals day following heightening corruption in public institutions coupled with high cost of living.

The near collapse of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and increased utility tariffs makes matters worst for the Ghanaian who sees you [Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo] as a saviour”

Mr Aloma added that  those who voted for him have no doubt that he will   deliver on his promises of the restoring of teacher and nursing training allowances, reduce taxes, implement the one village, one dam, one factory one district, one million dollars one constituency  policy and other social interventions to inure to the benefit of the citizenry.

With the support of Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, the group expressed hope that Ghana will develop as witnessed during the tenure of President John Agyekum Kufuor.
