The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party Nana Akufo-Addo has said he is confident President John Mahama will hand over power should he lose tomorrow’s polls.
The comment from the NPP flagbearer comes on the back of fears by his campaign coordinator Peter Mac Manu that the President and the NDC may not handover if they lose the polls.
In a wide radio broadcast Monday evening, the former attorney general said he believes Mr. Mahama will follow the steps of his predecessors John Kufuor and JJ Rawlings and handover power if things do not go his way.
“… When the results come in and the good people of Ghana vote for change, I urge our president to follow the worthy footsteps of his distinguished predecessors Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor, the examples of Goodluck Jonathan and most recent Yahyah Jammeh of the Gambia, should also guide him to ensure a smooth transfer of power.
