Member of Parliament of Bongo in the Upper East Region, Hon. Edward Bawa has asked the Government of Ghana to buy crude and  fix the ‘dumsor’ rather than telling Ghanaians lies.

According to him, the government should focus on fixing the situation because the previous government left them with a robust energy sector.

Hon. Bawa, who was commenting on the recent power cuts in the country, said on Radio1 Breakfast Show ‘Susubiribi’ that the Mahama led administration put in place better reforms including the imposition of the energy sector levy as a master plan to reducing the suffocating debt in the sector.

He further stated that the Mahama administration added over 800 megawatts to boost the energy sector and so, the incumbent government doesn’t have any excuse to keep Ghanaians in darkness.
