NAVASCO calls back suspended students

The final year students of Navrongo Senior High School (NAVASCO) in the Upper East Region who were suspended last week have been called back to the school to enable them write their final examinations [WASSCE].
The students were suspended for breaking dining hall rules and threatened to cause mayhem which brought tension to the school which consequently caused them being sent home by the school authorities.
Speaking to our reporter, the Headmistress of the school, Francisca Yizura said the suspended students are to report to the school on Monday, 20th March, 2017 accompanied by their parents or guardians to sign a bond of good behaviour. They are also to write an apology letter to the Municipal Director of Education (Kassena Nankana Municipal), the Headmistress and the staff. In addition, they will write a letter for re-admission.
She said this decision was taken at a joint meeting consisting of the Headmistress, the Kassena Nankana Municipal Director of Education, the Upper East Regional Director of Education and the school management.

She advised all final year students in the second cycle institutions in the country to be discipline and obey all school rules and regulations in order to have a peaceful and successful examinations.
NAVASCO is one of few schools in northern Ghana with a wealth of physical infrastructure, a major reason for its ability to educate many people. It is the oldest and prestigious secondary school in the Upper East Region and among about eight elite schools in northern Ghana.
