Kinsmen of Deputy Minister for Regional Reorganisation Martin Adjei- Mensah Korsah have advised him to work towards uplifting the administration President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.

They observed that his ministry remains unique with its set of challenges that surpass other ministries in view of its strategic positioning in creating new regions in the country warning that any attempt to do things haphazardly will amount to making the president’s administration unpopular.

“You have a herculean task and we thank you for coming and coming very early. When they mentioned that ministry there were agitations both in the Volta Region and Brong Ahafo region. The matter is dicey and if care is not taken you will end up disgracing Nana Addo. There must not be mistakes at the initial stages because if it occurs, residents will rise up against Nana Addo”, the Akwamuhene who is also the Vice President of the Techiman Traditional Council Nana Owusu Gyari II said.

The chiefs appealed to him and the sector minister to conduct deep investigations and build consensus and conduct stakeholders’ consultations in order to wipe out disagreements.

He also called on him not to work in isolation but work in partnership with other Members of Parliament (MPs) and Ministers from the region aimed at developing the area.

“You are not the only minister. We have MPs in Techiman North and South we want all of you to put up a joint effort in developing the area because this is where you come from”, he added.

On his part, the Deputy Minister promised he will not disgrace the traditional council and will adhere to their advice and work with truth, humility and the fear of God in order to pave the way for younger ones in the region who are aspiring to occupy such positions in the future.

“Anytime you call on me, I will be ready to serve you. I promise not to disgrace you and will work in humility, truth and the fear of God”, he assured.
