Flood leaves Anwiankwanta residents homeless

One hundred and ten (110) residents in Anwiankwanta of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly of the Ashanti Region have been rendered homeless following a heavy downpour on Tuesday dawn.
The flood according to the victims was caused by the collapsed of the River Oda bridge which washed away some buildings and properties.
Ten houses have been affected with properties worth millions of Ghana cedis destroyed by the flood.
The victims speaking to Abusua Dawuro’s Osei Kwadwo stated that they have lost all their properties in the flood.
“We are appealing to National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and government to come to our aid,” the victims said.
