Kwesi Botchwey Committee Report should be made public- Dr. Osei.

Political science lecturer at the Methodist University College Dr. Osei Bonsu has debunked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for it decision to keep the 455 pages of Kwesi Botchwey committee report secretly.

According to him ,the 455 pages of Kwesi Botchwey committee report must be made publicly to help  discuss every issues and statements in it.

The much awaited Kwesi Botchwey committee report on the crushing defeat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the 2016 polls has recommended a peacemaking and healing tour. Prof. Kwesi Botchwey who presented the 455 page report said the NDC must assemble “credible and eminent” personalities in the party to lead the tour.

He was speaking at the NDC headquarters in Accra where national executives gathered to receive the report of the 13 member committee ,the report was handed to the National Chairman Kofi Portuphy.

The media was feed with seven pages of the report “Listening to the voice of the grassroots”, Prof. Botchwey pressed the NDC leadership to consider the peacemaking and healing tour “extremely important “. This is because it will create the “necessary conditions for any serious work that needs to be done” in Recommend chemical for  farmers to fight fall army worm is not effective -farmers lamented.

But speaking on Radio1 breakfast show “Susubribi” with host Captain Kofi Owusu, Dr. Osei Bonsu said the seven recommendations feed to the media was not enough, but all the 455 pages must be feed to the media and the public as a whole for proper discussions, because there are many radio stations and how the discussion will go if kept secretly.

”I think if the report is been kept secretly in which those who matters most in the party could not see it ,it won’t help the party as a whole, because there were accusations and counter accusations within the party. so if you think ,because opposition will see , you won’t be made it publicly, the counter  accusations in the party stands as it is, because no one knows the actual report and will create problems. ” he stated.

Dr. Osei  Bonsu also urged the NDC party to allow constituency level, polling station or branch level to discuss the details of funding and recommendations of the committee. ”  there is a need for the constituency level , polling station or branch level to discuss the details of funding and recommendations of the committee, with that ,they can start dealing process before 2018 elections may start”. he stressed.

He added that, the NDC should start the process with the biometric process in the report  statement.
