Taxi drivers that conveyed passengers from suhum township to Adarkwa , a suburb town in Suhum Municipality in the Eastern region have vow to wage war against commercial motor bike rider popularly known as okada.
The chairman for the such taxi drivers, Alhaji Moro Nuhu and his men [drivers] in an interview with Radio1, explained that, the okada riders destruct their work.
‘’Okada riders mainly struggle with as over passengers and also threat as when we intervene, which is unacceptable’’. They said.
The chairman, Alhaji Moro Nuhu added that, the situation have been reported to Suhum Municipal Police command, but avail no result.

Alhaji Moro and his men vow to wage war against the okada riders if the police did not take any action or find a solution to their problems.
Despite efforts by the police in the country to clamp down on Okada Business, it is obvious that the use of motorbike for commercial purposes have become a booming venture which is gradually becoming a serious threat to security.
The Ministry of Transport and the police are embroiled in a blame game over the booming Okada business in the country.
