Help arrest Lapaz cop killers – Police

The Ghana Police Service has urged members of the public to offer information or any leads that will help them to arrest and prosecute the killers of Constable Daniel Owusu who was shot by some suspected armed robbers at Lapaz in Accra on Thursday, 13th July, 2017.

Speaking at the one-week remembrance on Thursday July 20, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, COP Ransford Ninson, Commissioner in charge of Welfare, sympathised with the wife and family.

He reiterated the importance of leads to enable the police curb crime after he presented drinks to the family in support of the one week memorial.

In attendance were the Inspector-General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, COP/Ms Rose Bio Atinga, COP/Mr Kwame Agblor, COP/Dr George Akuffo Dampare, COP/Mr Ransford Ninson, COP/Mrs Beatrice Vib-Sanziri, DCOP/Mr Yaagy Akuribah, DCOP/Mr Bright Oduro, DCOP/Mr Alex Amponsah Asiamah, and C/Supt/Mr Francis Tsidi, all of whom are members of the Police Management and Advisory Board (POMAB).

Other ranks, including officers from the Community Policing Unit where the deceased worked at the time of his death, also attended the memorial.

The IGP has already announced a GHS10,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of two armed killers.
