Journalists panic and fears over names on Nadmo payroll

Journalists in the Eastern region fears their names could be mentioned in the recent allegations by the Eastern regional National Disaster Management Organisation (Nadmo) co- coordinator, Mr. Kwame Appaih Kobi that, some Journalists in the region names are on the payroll of the National Disaster Management Organisation (Nadmo) and have been receiving payment for work their not done for.

According to him, the names on the list are the members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) journalists, but refuses to mentioned them.

Speaking on Radio 1 breakfast show dubbed ”Susubribi” with host Captain Kofi Owusu, the Eastern regional coordinator of Nadmo Mr. Kwame Appaih Kobi assures that, the organisation is doing it investigation and after the investigation, the names would be put out as soon as possible.

He refused to mentioned the names when asked on several occasion by the host Captain Kofi Owusu, but insisted the names would be mentioned when the investigations are been done.

”Definitely we will bring the names out after the investigations are been done, though ‘Radio 1’ staffs are not among, but after the investigations, we shall bring the names out” Captain (it could be better for you to mention the names, because it has cause fear and panic among journalists in the region…well you said Radio 1 is not among in the list, so could it be Eastern fm, Bryt fm, Emack Fm etc)?” well I can’t tell but as I have said after the investigations the names would be out.” he lamented.

Kwame Kobi alleged that, the names of Journalists on the Nadmo payroll are three(3), but he hesitated to mentioned them.

Reacting to the allegation, a journalist in the Eastern region and reporter for Adom fm, Kofi Siaw dares Mr. Kwame Kobi to mentioned the names and stop hesitating.

He alleged that, he knows the journalists involved in the allegations in which some of them have been receiving payment during former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s regime and some have even had positions in the Nadmo, but refuses to mentioned the names.

Contribution to the allegations on Radio 1, the news editor for Bryt fm, Mr. Kwaku Solo also alleged he knows those involve and they have been working on their normal duties at Nadmo. He also dares Kofi Siaw to mentioned the names if he is not a coward.

Mr. Kwaku Solo made mentioned of some reporter and Journalists who’s names could be mentioned after the investigation is been done. That is, Micheal Akrofi, reporter for Peace fm and K. Baah reporter for Happy fm in the Eastern region respectively.  The drama continuous….. more soon….
