Two suspected arm robbers has been arrested by Suhum Police Command

Suhum Municipal Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers at Mankrong near Amanase_ Suhum  Kumasi highway in the eastern region for their involvement in series of robbing drivers at Accra _ Kumasi highway.

The suspects are Yaw Amponsah,32 years and Evans Osei 30 years .

Speaking to Radio 1 news, Municipal Police Commander ASP Joseph Owusu said they had intelligence that the above suspects have been using a sprinter bus with it registration number GT_4598_17, and  in their possession were some weapons and ammunitions which  they use for their criminal activities.

The Police patrol team Armed with the above information proceeded to the said road and arrested suspect Yaw Amponsah 32 years , meanwhile, the police has also arrested Evans Osei 30 years at Ashaiman . Zanu also known as a wanted criminal who was declared wanted six months ago, when Yaw Amponsah were interrogated, claimed Evans is among with them.

ASP Joseph assured residence of Suhum and promised to protect them in terms of security, he further appealed to the public that if they made any arrest by armed robbers they should not practice instance justice but rather take him to police station and not to take the law into their own hands .The suspect according to him have been charged with robbing and possession of fire arms without  lawful excuse and being processed to court.
