We will not pay Tax to KMA Again G.P.R.T.U chairman tells KMA boss

The G.P.R.T.U Chairman at Dr. Mensah market Mr. Musah Yiadom have given a two days ultimatum to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to come and contract the station terminal which have heap at the market else they will be in red and match to the assembly to register their displeasure.

This came into light when the press men visited the area to find out why the terminal is in such a dirty environment with an unpleasant scent to operate. Interacting with some of them, they said  ‘’ Even when it’s rainfall we find it very difficult to get passengers, we wonder why we paid ticket everyday but the assembly have neglected as to sit in such a dirty environment to operate.’’ they lamented.

‘’We are gradually losing hope in the pass government and the currently government, KMA boss hon. Osei Assibey, if he thinks the work is too much for him than he should leave his post.’’ They stressed.

Another trader hinted that due to the scent from the refuse dump and the conditions of the market place people are no longer patronizing their items, they have closed their nose due to the scent from the refuse.

‘’We are pleading to the president Nana Addo and KMA to consider doing something about the situation else we will not pay tax to them again.’’ She said.

They continue with their grievances that, since 2003 they have spent over 400 hundred million Ghana cedi of money on that terminal, the situation have been reported to KMA, but nothing has been done about it, they said they can no longer continue, they will hit the street if nothing is done about the situation.
