Corruption hit CPP- Yaw Asani

The leadership of the Convention Peoples Party CPP has been in a state of corruption once the party exist, and that has let the party into it current state. The deputy general secretary of the Convention Peoples Party, Hon. Yaw Asani Tano has alleged.

According to him, money which was suppose to go into the party consolidated fund was misused and distributed by the party leaders which has ended the party in it current state now as Ghanaian can testify.

Reacting to the speaker of parliament speech on the founder of Ghana at the 70th anniversary of the United Gold Cost Convention that, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was not the sole founder of Ghana, Mr. Asani said, there is no true in that, but he will blame the leadership of the CPP for not emulating and keeping the dignity of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah ever since he died till date.

In an interview with Captain Kofi Owusu on ”Susubribi” breakfast show on Radio 1, Mr. Asani said, the reason why the CPP cannot raise on it fit ever since it founder Dr. Kwame Nkrumah died was due to bad leadership and that same leadership is in existence.

”Leadership in the party was corrupted, money that was suppose to go into the party’s account was  misused and shared among the party leaders, hence the current state of CPP today.” he lamented.
