There have been varying views about the establishment of the GISD with many of the belief it is a means to strengthen the propaganda wing of the party.

“We are not looking at NDC people only but people who share our ideals from other countries in the sub-region,” the Acting Rector of the Institute, Dr William Ahadzie.

Speaking on “Dwaberem” afternoon political talk show on Kumasi-based Otec FM, Mr. Chris Dughan admonished alleged corrupt NDC members to pursue various courses available in the school.

“Dr. Valerie Sawyerr and Victor Smith should be the first people I expect them to be there”, he told host Agya Wusu Ansah.

“I am ready to sponsor them if they cannot cater themselves since NDC is out of power and cannot steal anymore”, Chris Dughan promised during telephone interview on the show.

“I am telling you Valerie Sawyerr is wearing corruption shoes. ….a very corrupt woman ever known in our contemporary politics”, he maintained

“She is an Arabian thief. …a Republican thief indeed and the moment you mention corruption she together with other officials in the previous administration will be running”, he repeated.

“Because of corruption she couldn’t account for the country’s limited resources entrusted under her care when she was in charge of government projects” Chris Dughan further alleged.

“If you ask former President John Mahama he will tell you it is because of corruption he sacked Dr. Valarie Sawyerr “, daring her to prove her innocence of the allegations against her.
