The National organizer of Convention People’s Party (CPP) Emmanuel Kwabena Kwao Ogbojor has categorically stated that Ghana is not ready to write another history again about Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

He said that the President Want to alter Ghanaians history to favor his family.
Speaking on Radio 1 Breakfast Show ‘Susubiribi’ with the host Captain Kofi Owusu he stated that Ghana is not ready to write another history again of who gain independence for Ghana.
“NPP started this controversial and baseless argument by Gabby Otchere Darko and it doesn’t work in the first place, and they tried to convince Ghanaian when Prof. Mike Quaye, ‘Speaker of Parliament’ lecturing on formation of United Gold coast convention at cape coast where he said that ,Dr Kwame Nkrumah is not only the founder who achieve independence for Ghanana. The lives of J.B Danquah, Arko Adjei, Obetsebi Lamptey, Joseph Boakye Dankwa and William Ofori Atta were the key members who contributed to gain independent, so there is a need of equalization for celebrating them all as founders by not neglecting them”, he stated.

According to the National Organizer, CPP is against the celebration of two founders Day in Ghana as proposed by the President.
“President Want to alter Ghanaians history to favor his family since he was sworn in on January 7 2017, but history remains history no one can change it by ditching September 21 to August 4 as founder’s day”, he lamented.
“What we all know is that Dr Kwame Nkrumah is the one who gained independence for Ghana, even when you go to our various schools the history is quite clear in our history books that Dr. Kwame is the one who gained freedom for Ghana. Up to date has that history changed?” he asked.’
He concluded that the CPP believes in the ideologies and principle of Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah. NPP argument to celebrate August 4 as founder’s day is without merit and Ghanaians are not ready to write another history.
