I’m Not Going To Be A Tyrant-Chief

The newly installed chief of Akyem Osiem in the East Akim Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana, Osabarima Agyei Mireku, has assured his people that, he is not going to be an autocratic and divisive leader to retard the development of his people and land.

He made this statement during a ceremony to outdoor him as the chief of Akyem Osiem after his installation over the weekend. “I’m promising you that, I’m not going to be divisive and a tyrant but rather a king for all” he quoted.

Osabarima asked all and sundry to join hand to champion the developmental agenda of Akyem Osiem and also hinted that problems of the land will be dealt with in consultation with the elders and everyone who matters.

He then thanked the people of Osiem for the trust they have in him and prayed for their support.

The ceremony was colorful and well attended by the people of Osiem and other neighboring towns. Among the dignitaries’ present were Honorable Gifty Twum-Ampofo, MP for Abuakwa North Constituency and Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection with her party functionaries, Nananom from neighboring town.
