Speaking to Radio 1 news Mr. Fred Agbenyo said, NDC is against the proposal of August 4 as founder’s day, because March 6, 1957 was a holiday to commemorate Ghana’s independence fighters which includes the big (six).
‘’Why should August 4 be celebrated twice? It’s a waste of time, money and why should we twist the history of Ghana, I don’t know the rational behind the idea of NPP’s founder’s day proposal.’’ he questioned.
He urged anyone whose intention is to come and cause commotion to advise him/herself, because such person will not be spared.
Mr. Agbenyo called on all NDC sympathizers and Ghanaians to come and participate and witness a peaceful solidarity march, irrespective of their political affiliation. With regards to the dress code, Mr. Fred advised the participants to be in NDC attire or any white T-shirt.
Meanwhile the deputy communication officer debunked the speculation that the March was not organized by former president John Dramani Mahama but is organized by NDC Greater Accra Region executives.
