Plumber arrested over recruitment scam

A plumber in Assin Fosu in the Central Region, Asiedu Nketia and another has been arrested for being at the centre of a police and immigration recruitment scam that hit the Assin North Municipality.
Asiedu Nketia and the cleaner identified as Auntie Aggie, a cleaner at the Assin Fosu Immigration Training School were arrested for collecting amounts ranging from GHC 1,500 to GHC 4,000 from persons who sought admission into the Police and Immigration Services.
They were said to have promised to help them with recruitment into the police and immigration services.
The two suspects led police to arrest one Professor Lawson in Accra, who is alleged to have been the brain behind the scam.

Assin Fosu Police told Adom News that the suspects have been granted bail but the matter is still being investigated.
