Major parts of Accra were flooded after the heavy rainfall on Friday morning in the nation’s capital. The Ghana Meteorological Agency says it didn’t forecast that parts of the country would experience heavy rains that could cause flooding but the heavy rains this morning has accounted for the submerging of roads, houses and cars in various areas of the city.
A lot of people who were travelling from home in the early hours of the day were stranded in traffic in all parts because the flood waters had covered major roads.
The Ghana News Agency witnessed floods in several areas including Okponglo, Dzorwulu, Kaneshie, and Circle to mention a few due to the rains.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned there would also be heavy rains on Friday in the Central, Western and Brong Ahafo Regions.
