The CAF African Player Of The Year Nominees’ List Is Out

Who is the best football player on the African continent?
Every year, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) picks one African player who has been amazing at the game of football and awards him the coveted title of African Player of the year.
Last year, the title went to the Algerian and Leicester City midfielder, Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez beat Gabonese forward, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane to win the title.
CAF just released the 30-man nomination list for the African Player of the Year award 2017.
The nominees include big names like Nigeria’s Victor Moses, Senegal’s Sadio Mane, Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Guinea’s Naby Keita, Cote d’ Ivoire’s Eric Bailly and more.
The Award Gala would be held in Accra, Ghana on the 4th of January, 2018.
Head Coaches/Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF, members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee and a panel of Media Experts are expected to vote for the nominees. Here is the full list of nominees:
