Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra region, Michael Omari Wadie has expressed concern about the level of corrupt practices in the Ghanaian system.
To him, the practice of some persons wanting to benefit through corrupt means at their work places ought to come to an end.
According to him it is not a best means to get money, which will at the end dent the image of the country.
Two persons, including a lawyer, Dominic Owusu Sekyere, have been sentenced to a total of 12 years imprisonment by the Accra Circuit Court for defrauding a businessman of $200,000 in a land transaction deal.

Lawyer Owusu Sekyere, will serve seven years in prison, while Samuel Yeboah, who goes by the name Albert Kwadwo Coleman, and the other convict will serve 5 years in prison.
The court established that the two men teamed up with two other people, now at large, to defraud the businessman under the guise of selling a plot of land at Cantonments in Accra to him.
Discussing the above issue on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Omari Wadie stressed “authorities mandated to curb corrupt practices must in the shortest possible time adopt some strong measures in a form of revolution to get rid of all kinds of bad practices in our system”.
The aspiring National Vice Chairman on the ticket of the NPP advised that “every citizen must make him/her self an agent of wiping out corruption completely from our system, since this strategy can deter others from practicing or being involved in any dishonest deal”.
