Hon. Amoatey Kofi Magnus, lawyer, a Member of Parliament for Yilo Krobo and a member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Legal affairs, highly motivated and convinced, said there is no way the New Patriotic Party, NPP, can win the Parliamentary seat of YILO Krobo.

He said, the fact that he will not contest the 2020 election does not mean NPP can win the seat. In an interview with the host of ‘Bekyeremu’, Owuraku Asamoah on Radio 1 FM, he said, NPP can do all they can, in all the ways they can, as long as ever they can, bring all the people capable and even spend any amount they can, they would all be cos 90.

“NPP can never win Yilo seat. They can put in all their arsenals, they can put in all their money, they will never win… It’s one thing saying I’m going to contest, it’s another winning. More so, it’s another snatching a traditional seat of NDC”, Mr Amoatey said.

When quizzed by the host on how fast the NPP closing the gap and more especially scooping the Upper Manya seat, lawyer said in-fighting cost them in Upper Manya. The Executives and a majority of the NDC members voted out of grievances. Even that he would not credit the victory to any extraordinary work done by the NPP

Perhaps, the same in-fighting accounted for NPP closing the gap in the 2016 elections at Lower Manya constituency.

According to Lawyer Amoatey, the Krobo’s are for the NDC and there is no way the NPP or any other Political Party can snatch a seat from them, not again.

The New Patriotic Party has only one parliamentary seat in the Krobo land and per information reaching Radio 1 news team, they are putting in all the strategies they can to snatch some more. The likes of the deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Gender minister and the ‘almighty controversial’ Energy minister pose big threats in the 2020 elections.
