Last Sunday’s friendly clash between rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi grossed a total of GH?75,000. The General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Amoako disclosed during an interview on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM on Tuesday, August 28.
According to him, the figure was disappointing as the organisers expected to rake in more money.
“We grossed about GHc 75,000. It wasn’t what we were expecting but for the first time, we will make do with it.
“I am not sure Kotoko will even get 25000 after deductions. From my experience, we had about 10,000 to 15,000 spectators and I hope it will improve in the second leg,” he said.
