The Incumbent 1st Vice Chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu- Ampofo, who doubles as the Director of Elections for the same party, appeals to the general members of NDC particularly, Delegates of the upcoming NDC National Congress to endorse him and make him the Moses of NDC to salvage their souls from the current wilderness and torture of the ruling Akofo-Addo led New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) administration and lead them to the Promise land, thus winning election 2020.
In a studio interview at Ahotor FM’s Morning Show, monitored by Radio 1 News, Mr Samuel Ofosu- Ampofo, officially announced his intention to contest for the National Chairman of NDC in their upcoming National Delegates Congress aimed at electing new executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next 4 years.
Mr Ofosu Ampofo revealed that his ambition of becoming the National Chairman is coupled with a mission he called 3R. Revive, Restore and Recapture. He has picked the teaser, VOA; Vote Ofosu-Ampofo.
He said he would Revive the party. Revive all branches and structures within the party. Revive the Never say die spirit and the Kum apem a Apem b3ba spirit of the NDC.

The next is to Restore the Party’s Values; Probity and Accountability and the last R- Recapture Power in election 2020, the ultimate.
According to Mr Ofosu Ampofo, he is fully matured, fully prepared, fully baked, with the capacity, the endurance, the know hows and everything at his disposal he best fits the position of the NDC National Chairman.
He also said it’s time for him after humbly serving under numerous party Executives since 1993 which he described as apprenticeship. He served as District Chief Executive at the then Fanteakwa District, He was National Organiser under Obed Asamoah, National Organiser under Dr. Kwabena Agyei, He rose to become the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development. He then became a National Executive Member of the Party, Served as the Chairman of Bio-metric Registration Committee of the Party.
He is a member of faculty at the NDC Political School. He lectures Political Mobilisation and Activism, he lectures Election Management and Campaign also at the NDC political School. The Director of Elections and the 1st Vice of the NDC.
He believes with all these experience and exposure coupled with other external managerial skills, he beats any other contender in that portfolio and therefore urged NDC Party members to consider capacity building and vote him as the next Chairman of the party.
The NDC opens Nominations for National executives from 23rd August to 25th August where congress to elect the executives will come off 20th October, 2018.
However, 7th December 2018, will be a special day for the NDC to elect their flagbearer to combat NPP for the Presidency of the Nation.
