Hon. Shirley Osei Ampem Aspiring Eastern Regional Women’s organizer has stated that there is no cause for alarm as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have already won the 2020 election.
Speaking in an interview with Captain Kofi Owusu the morning show host on Radio 1 the former parliamentary candidate for the Lower West Akyem Constituency said NDC is so popular and therefore did not need any message to win 2020 polls.
“We have the men. Our management capabilities are high, we are skilful and we have demonstrated it before. In terms of the last election, we could not put our acts together, we must accept that one, but I am saying that we are working very hard.”
“We are not going to pride ourselves only in the past, but we are working very hard to overcome the bridges that we couldn’t build. We must now build the bridges properly, so we can interact with both sides of the stream,” she added.

She pointed out that the failure of the President Nana Addo to fulfill his numerous campaign promises had led to many losing hope in the ruling NPP.
“One district, one factory is a mirage, one constituency one million dollars per year is also fake because now Ghanaians are being told that the money is not to be handed over to the constituencies anymore. Free SHS is a mess because parents are spending more money to get education”.
“For the very first time in the history of Ghana, even Cuban doctors who are here assisting us with medical care cannot be paid and therefore have been constrained to lay down their tools and yet President Akufo-Addo says there will be no campaign message against him in 2020?”, she asked.
The context for National Democratic Congress(NDC) regional elections continues to draw closer after successful vetting of aspirant across the country last week.
Shirley Naana Osei Ampem one of the 61 members went through vetting successfully, and she contesting for Eastern Regional Women’s organizer.
