Northern Regional Police spokesman, DSP Mohammed Yussif Tanko says executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region have refused to cooperate with the Police towards identifying the individuals who attacked the Chief Executive Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr David Zawumya Kolbila.
According to him, cooperation from the NPP officials in the region will help identify the men, who are believed to be supporters of the party.
“No arrest has been made so far. It is becoming very difficult for us because NPP officials in the region have refused to cooperate with us” he said on Accra-based Neat FM monitored by Adomonline.com.
The group, on Monday, locked up the office of the CEO after allegedly assaulting and walking him out of the office.

In a video of the attack, the attackers were seen asking the CEO and other occupants of the office to pack and leave.
The CEO was made to clear his table and paraded out down the three-story complex amidst unrestrained verbal denigration.
Dr Kolbila has since been reinstated by the Northern Regional Security Council.
DSP Yussif Tanko said investigators have seen the video footage of the incident on Monday and are making attempts to identify persons in it in order to cause their arrests.
“We have secured tapes that depict people ordering the CEO out of his office and we also have tapes of somebody who is being interviewed and alleging that they were behind the act,” he said.
The police, he said is doing all it can to identify the perpetrators in order that they pay for their actions, but as an interim measure, management has been advised to get a police post so that personnel can be posted there permanently.
DSP Yussif Tanko indicated that police have deployed men to the facility and they are currently on 24hr guard.
